Telc German C1 University
The exam is aimed at adults who want to begin studies at a German-speaking university, who are already studying, or who work in an academic profession and want to prove their German skills.
Foreign applicants who present a telc German C1 University certificate are, according to the resolution of the Conference of University Presidents and Ministers of Education, exempt from the obligation to take the DSH (German Language Test for University Admission) or another language test. This recognition applies to all German universities as well as numerous universities in Austria and Switzerland.
What to expect in the exam:
The telc German C1 University exam is divided into a written and an oral part. The written part lasts 3 hours and 40 minutes (including a 20-minute break) and includes reading comprehension, language elements, listening comprehension, and written expression. The oral part, which takes place on the same day, lasts 16 minutes with a 20-minute preparation time.
To pass the telc C1 exam, at least 60% of the maximum achievable points must be achieved in both the written and oral parts. This corresponds to 128 out of a total of 225 points, with at least 99 points being achieved in the written part and 29 points in the oral part.

Exam registration
After registration, you will receive an email from inlingua Frankfurt with payment information. Please transfer the amount of €240.00 within the specified period to the account listed in the email. Upon receipt of payment, you will receive a confirmation from inlingua Frankfurt for exam participation.
